Glūko ežeras is a public bathing area located in Varėna District, Alytaus County, Lithuania. The beach is approximately 60 meters long with grass-covered shoreline and semi-natural banks where reeds grow in some areas. The water body has good ecological status and meets good ecological potential requirements. Maximum visitor capacity during peak season is approximately 50 people.

Ecological status: Good, meeting good ecological status / good ecological potential requirements per Directive 2000/60/EB. Phosphorus and nitrogen levels not tested; water clarity monitored. Blue-green algae, macroalgae, and marine phytoplankton studies not conducted.

Risks

Short-term pollution possible during heavy rainfall. Intestinal enterococci colony-forming units exceeded permitted limits on 2023-06-08. Pollution typically subsides within 1–2 days after rainfall ends.
