Gottower See is an artificial lake formed by damming the Hammerfließ, located approximately 5 km east of Luckenwalde in the Luckenwalde Heath. The lake measures approximately 680 m in length and 60–90 m in width, with a surface area of 4.8 hectares and maximum depth of 4 metres. The water is characterised by underwater plants and water lilies in several areas, with water transparency ranging from 0.6 to 1.2 metres at the bathing area. Main fish species include tench, white fish, pike, grass carp, and eel.
