Coastal bathing water body in the Iroise Sea. The beach has a stream outlet (Gwentrez stream) that discharges onto the beach. Water temperature, wave heights, and current velocities are measured at the site.

Water Quality

Microbiological quality assessed through monitoring of E. coli and enterococci concentrations. Water quality evaluation conducted from 1994 onwards with 90th and 95th percentile measurements. Quality data collected during routine conditions and during rainfall events.

Risks

Bacterial contamination from fecal sources identified as a pollution risk. Rainfall events influence the concentration of E. coli and enterococci in bathing waters. Tidal conditions affect water quality variations.
