Water Quality

Bacteriological water quality monitoring is conducted through the health surveillance organization (ARS). The profile revision assessed fecal indicators and bacterial contamination. Water quality classification is determined at the end of each bathing season. Sensitivity to green algae blooms has been evaluated.

Risks

The beach is sensitive to green algae blooms. Jellyfish (physalies) presence has been documented and warning signage is displayed. Short-term pollution episodes related to rainfall have been identified.
