Harriersand is a tidal water bathing spot on the Weser shipping channel. The beach consists of very fine Weser sand and offers relaxing beach atmosphere. A restaurant called Strandhalle is located directly at the beach for food and beverages.

Location

Accessible via the MS Gunsiet ferry (Brake – Kaje). By car: take the B211/B212 to Brake, turn onto Breite Straße at the intersection (petrol station), continue to Georgstraße to the pier where parking is available. Bicycles can be transported on the ferry. Alternative route via Schwanewede: exit A27 at Schwanewede, turn right at Shell petrol station, continue approximately 750 m and turn left at traffic lights, then approximately 5 km toward Neuenkirchen, turn right at Starke Bäckerei bakery, drive to Rade village, turn left over the dyke in the village centre, and follow signs for approximately 9 km (narrow access road and limited parking).
