Heidestrandbad is a natural lake formed in a former clay pit that has been used for swimming since before World War II. Located in the town of Hemmoor, it features approximately 60 meters of natural sandy beach with shaded areas and terraced meadows. A 600-meter walking trail encircles the lake. Swimming and sunbathing are also available at the adjacent indoor pool OsteWelle.
