Saint Étienne d'Issensac is a bathing site located on the Hérault River in the commune of Brissac, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. The bathing zone features rocky banks and pebbles, with steep slopes on both sides. The right bank has a 100-meter beach with 10-meter width, while the left bank has a 200-meter beach with 30-meter width. Surrounding vegetation includes alder, willow, poplar, and boxwood typical of riverbanks. The site is characterized by natural preserved spaces and an exposed rocky bed.

Water

Hérault River. Mean low-water flow rate of 3.64 cubic meters per second. Average channel width of 28 meters with depth of 0.90 meters at low water, creating a cross-sectional area of 25.20 square meters. At low water during thunderstorm conditions, flow increases to 7.28 cubic meters per second with depth of 1.00 meter and cross-sectional area of 28 square meters. Maximum instantaneous flow recorded is 1350 cubic meters per second.

Located in Brissac, Hérault Department. Access from road D4 at the chapel parking area. Parking available along D1 and D4 roads and at the chapel parking. Access to the beach is difficult. The site is near the village of Saint Étienne d'Issensac.

No lifeguards present; bathing is unsupervised. No sanitary facilities. Bins located along the road and at chapel parking. No signage for water quality information. Nearby amenities include camping, bar, and restaurant facilities.
