Le Tivoli is a bathing site in Laroque, Hérault, France. The site drains a large catchment area comprising three watercourses: the Vis, the Hérault, and the Rieutord. Water Quality

Water quality classification is good to excellent based on ARS monitoring over the past four years. Fecal contamination episodes can occur following summer thunderstorms. The Aubanel stream transfers significant pollution load during storm events due to insufficiently treated effluent from Moulès-et-Baucels. The Cazilhac wastewater treatment plant releases fecal streptococci into the Boulidou, which confluences with the Hérault opposite the village. Improvements in wastewater treatment systems and storm water overflows have significantly reduced contamination risks since 2011.

Risks

Summer thunderstorms can cause fecal contamination of bathing zones. Thunderstorms may occur upstream of the municipality without local rainfall, making detection difficult. Pollution from the Aubanel stream and Cazilhac wastewater treatment plant discharge.
