Hillevägens badplats is a fine sandy beach that transitions into hills with pine forest on the inland side. It is part of a long sandy beach stretching from Åhus in the north to Kivik in the south. The bathing water is classified as part of the coastal water body Västra Hanöbukten and is registered as an EU bathing water by Kristianstad municipality. The beach extends approximately one kilometre south from the mouth of the Helgeå river at Gropahålet.
