Il Moregallo lies at the base of Mount Moregallo, a 1,276-meter peak, along the shore of the lake. Small beaches such as RapaNui and Avalon are accessible by car or van, with the road running close to the water, and the area includes several diving sites including "Le Guglie" and Le Macchine. Old tunnels dug into the rock remain along the site, and visitors use the beaches for sunbathing, swimming, and diving.
