Water Quality

Awaiting classification as of the 2017 profile. Cyanobacteria evaluation is ongoing. Previous events over the last four years showed presence of potentially toxic cyanobacteria exceeding 10^6 cells per litre throughout the bathing season, with Planktothrix rubescens as the predominant species.

Risks

Potentially toxic cyanobacteria, particularly Planktothrix rubescens, have been detected at levels exceeding 10^6 cells per litre during previous bathing seasons.
