Isola di Albarella-Mare Vostrum is a sandy beach on Albarella Island in the Veneto region, oriented westward. The island is a exclusively touristic destination, densely populated during summer and nearly deserted the rest of the year. The beach faces the Po Delta with lagoons and fishing valleys. Access to the island is regulated with limited traffic; mobility is by bicycle and electric trains. The beach extends 0.155 km².

Sandy beach in a nautical basin (Specchio Nautico di Albarella). Beach width ranges from 10 to 20 meters.

Location

Rosolina municipality, Rovigo Province, Veneto region. Located on Albarella Island, connected to mainland by a levee road along the Po di Levante. Access is regulated with limited vehicle traffic.

Water Quality

Water classification: Excellent (2021-2024). EI95° 15.345; EI90° 14.095; EC95° 15.345; EC90° 14.095. Two wastewater treatment plants discharge to the area: Rosolina Mare treatment plant (designed capacity 30,000 inhabitants equivalent, located 1.1 km from the sea outlet) and a private treatment plant on Albarella Island (designed capacity 12,600 inhabitants equivalent, discharging directly to sea).
