Scanno cavallari-nord is a bathing water area in the Adriatic Sea near Porto Viro, Veneto. The beach extends from the mouth of the Po di Levante to the north to the mouth of the Po di Maistra to the south, covering an area of 0.949 km. The beach width ranges from 15 to 25 metres and is oriented southeast. Access is only possible by boat, as there are no roads to the site. The area is characterised by semi-natural vegetation typical of river delta environments, with grasses and shrubs, and is often occupied by debris such as tree trunks transported by the rivers.

Adriatic Sea. Area: 0.949 km. The bathing area extends from the mouth of the Po di Levante to the north to the mouth of the Po di Maistra to the south.

Location

Porto Viro, Veneto, Italy. The bathing point is located approximately 3 kilometres south of the mouth of the Po di Levante. Access is only by boat; no road access exists. The competent authorities are Porto Viro Municipality, Coastal Guard (telephone 1530), and ARPAV.

Water Quality

Classification: Excellent (2021–2024). EI95: 13; EI90: 12.34; EC95: 28.962; EC90: 23.574. The Po di Levante river mouth is an identified source of pollution impact on bathing water quality.

Risks

River debris, particularly tree trunks, frequently occupies the beach. River mouth pollution sources from the Po di Levante are present.
