Lake Konětopy is a gravel pit lake without surface inflow or outflow, located at an elevation of 175 metres. The lake has a surface area of 0.063 square kilometres and sandy shores with sandy bottom. Mining operations at the site have been completed. Water quality is classified as excellent based on microbiological indicators.

Gravel pit lake with no surface inflow or outflow, fed by groundwater flow. Surface area 0.063 km². Sandy beach approximately 1,500 metres long with sandy bottom. Average water transparency 2 metres.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as excellent based on enterococcal and Escherichia coli microbiological indicators. No bathing bans have been issued. Algal bloom risk is very low (Grade I according to Czech regulation No. 238/2011). Phosphorus content not assessed. No point sources of pollution identified. Main potential risk sources are bathers and sport fishing, with negligible impact from wastewater.

Risks

Algal bloom risk is very low. Bathers and sport fishing activities present medium risk for microbial contamination and phosphorus input. Water environment contamination risk from direct input of human metabolic products.
