Kennelbad I is an inland lake bathing site located on the southwestern edge of Braunschweig. It features a sandy beach providing easy access to the water and is divided into designated non-swimmer and swimmer areas. The site includes a large sunbathing meadow with limited shaded areas and a separate naturist zone.
