La Plage de la Tourasse is a bathing site located on the Beaume river in southern Ardèche, spanning the municipalities of Joyeuse and Rosières. The Beaume is a 43.9 km tributary of the Ardèche river, originating approximately 30 kilometres upstream from the bathing site.

Location

Located on the Beaume river between the communes of Joyeuse and Rosières in southern Ardèche. The river originates on the commune of Loubaresse and flows to confluence with the Ardèche at Ruoms.

Water Quality

The bathing site was classified as having insufficient water quality in the 2020 and 2021 seasons, necessitating revision of the bathing profile. Water quality classification and monitoring are conducted by the ARS (health authority). Bacterial pollution and cyanobacteria proliferation have been identified as potential concerns.
