Briatico, province of Vibo Valentia, Calabria. The area is located east of the town centre, facing agricultural territories. Accessible facilities include wheelchair ramps.

Water quality classification: Excellent. Wastewater treatment is managed by the Briatico treatment plant located in San Giorgio. No specific active measures are currently in place.

Risks

Potential pollution source identified at the mouth of Torrente Murria. Short-duration pollution events may occur due to accidental treatment plant failure or overflow from the Briatico treatment plant. No cyanobacterial proliferation events have been recorded in the past four years. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation events have been recorded.
