Water quality classification: Excellent. The bathing water is monitored by regional authorities. The main drainage point identified is the mouth of Fosso Vrace.

Risks

Potential short-duration pollution events identified: accidental wastewater treatment plant failure and overflow from the Briatico treatment plant (located at San Costantino). No cyanobacteria proliferation events recorded in the previous four years. No macroalgae or phytoplankton proliferation events recorded in the previous four years.
