La Scogliera is a coastal bathing area located in the municipality of Isola delle Femmine in the province of Palermo, Sicily. The area is characterized by rocky cliffs adjacent to residential structures in a plains setting. The bathing zone extends for 1,000 metres and is situated near urban settlements whose population density increases during the bathing season.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Sufficient (2019–2024). No bathing prohibitions are in place. No short-duration pollution events have been reported. No anomalous events have been reported in the preceding eight years.

Risks

Despite proximity to highly anthropized zones, no cyanobacterial proliferation events have been reported. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation events have been reported.
