The bathing area is located in a zone adjacent to urban settlements in the Sferracavallo area of Palermo, with increased visitor numbers during the summer period. The area is characterized by alternating cliffs and beach. The bathing area extends for approximately 800 metres.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2019–2024). No bathing bans are present. No temporary pollution events have been reported. The area is near zones of high human settlement but no specific monitoring measures are currently activated.

Risks

Although the area is located near zones of high human settlement, no cyanobacteria proliferation events, macroalgae proliferation, phytoplankton events, or potentially toxic species events have been reported.
