Laholmsbukten at Birger Pers väg is a 12 km long beach that includes Mellbystrand and Skummeslövsstrand, both of which originated as summer resorts but are now largely inhabited year-round. Swimming is possible along the entire beach. The northern section features loose sand and high dunes, while the southern landscape is flatter with more compact sand. On fine summer days visitor numbers are high, but the beach's extensive length means crowding is not a significant issue.
