Laholmsbukten at Kolonivägen is a 12 km long beach where swimming is possible along its entire length. The northern section features loose sandy beach and high dunes, while the southern landscape is flatter with more compacted sand. The area includes the summer resort settlements of Mellbystrand and Skummeslövsstrand, now largely inhabited year-round. The beach attracts large visitor numbers on fine summer days, but its extensive length means crowding is not a concern.
