Lac d'Issarlès is a natural lake of 90 hectares with volcanic origins, located at 1,000 metres altitude in the crater of an ancient volcano that erupted 80,000 years ago. The lake has a maximum depth exceeding 100 metres and is surrounded by green mountains and forests. During the summer season, the lake transforms into a popular bathing and water sports destination for families and tourists. A sandy beach with a supervised swimming zone is available, and visitors can engage in activities such as pedalo, canoe, kayak, and stand-up paddle.
