Lido Nazioni - punto B is a bathing area on the Emilia-Romagna coast near Comacchio in the province of Ferrara, Italy. The beach is part of a approximately 15 km stretch of sandy coastline with dunes and pine forest, featuring high tourist activity. The beach is 50–70 metres wide and protected by 14 breakwaters averaging 100 metres in length, spaced 20 metres apart and oriented southwest to northeast. The area is classified as excellent water quality based on 2015–2018 monitoring data.

Location

Comacchio, Ferrara province, Emilia-Romagna region, Italy. The bathing area is located between Sacca di Goro to the north and Porto Canale di Porto Garibaldi to the south. Coordinates: centre at X=12.2480° Y=44.7477°. The area extends 2.016 km.

Water Quality

Water quality classified as Excellent (reference years 2015–2018). Escherichia Coli (90th percentile): 18 CFU/100 ml; Escherichia Coli (95th percentile): 20 CFU/100 ml. Intestinal Enterococci (90th percentile): 16 CFU/100 ml; Intestinal Enterococci (95th percentile): 17 CFU/100 ml. No direct discharge outlets or watercourses feeding into the bathing waters. No short-duration pollution events recorded during bathing seasons 2015–2018. No anomalous situations occurred during bathing seasons 2015–2018.

Risks

Macroalgae proliferation of the genus Ulva occurred in the coastal centre-northern stretch during July–August 2018, causing modifications to recreational conditions during biomass accumulation phases. The beach is subject to sand replenishment interventions.
