Location

Squillace, Catanzaro Province, Calabria region. The bathing area extends 1.379 square kilometres.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is excellent. The Ficarella Burrone stream mouth has been identified as a source of impact. Short-duration pollution events are characterised by surface runoff from agricultural areas.

Risks

Short-duration pollution events occur due to surface runoff (dilavamento) from agricultural areas. No cyanobacterial proliferation events have been recorded in the past four years. No macroalgae, phytoplankton, or potentially toxic species proliferation events have been recorded in the past four years.
