Lido Trappeto is a small protected beach located in the municipality of Trappeto in the Palermo province of Sicily. The beach is characterized by residential structures in the adjacent area, with increased population density during the bathing season. The beach is protected by precarious breakwater structures.

Coastal water body. The area is located in a flat terrain adjacent to urban settlements. The hydrographic basin is named Palermo-Trappeto.

Location

Trappeto municipality, Palermo province, Sicily. The bathing area extends 650 metres along coordinates 38.06187–13.02654 to 38.0656–13.03182. The monitoring station point is at coordinates 38.0624–13.0276.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Good for the period 2019–2024. No bathing bans are in place. No short-duration pollution events have been reported. No anomalous situations have been reported in the previous eight years.

Risks

The area is located near zones of high human activity with possible cyanobacterial proliferation events. Ostreopsis ovata has been identified as a potential toxic species in the area.
