Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo is a coastal bathing area in Carini, Sicily, characterized predominantly by cliffs adjacent to residential structures. The area is located near high-density urban settlements, with population increasing during the bathing season. An adjacent zone of 5,600 square metres extending westward to the Ciachea stream is designated as off-limits for bathing.

Carini, Province of Palermo, Sicily. Coordinates: 38.171°N, 13.163°E. The bathing area extends 400 metres along the Lungomare Cristoforo Colombo waterfront.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Good (2019–2024). No bathing prohibitions are in place. No short-duration pollution events have been reported. No anomalous events have been recorded.

Risks

Despite proximity to high-density seasonal urban development, no cyanobacterial proliferation events, macroalgae blooms, phytoplankton proliferation, or toxic species events have been reported.
