Rheinauer See is located in a recreational area on the border between Mannheim-Rheinau and Brühl. The lake is surrounded by residential areas. Much of the lake is privately owned. The lake is divided into different usage zones. In the western area is the water ski facility with an adjacent bathing area.

Location

Public Transport: Bus line 710 of the VRN runs directly from Mannheim Central Station to Rheinauer See. The Pigagestrasse stop is approximately 3 minutes' walk from the water ski facility. You can also use regional train R2 to MA-Rheinau or city train line 1 to MA-Rheinau station, then transfer to bus lines 48 (Monday-Friday) to Pigagestrasse stop. Car: From the north and south, take motorway A6 towards Mannheim; exit Schwetzingen/Mannheim Rheinau Hafen 2; B36 towards Mannheim, after approximately 1 km turn right, following signs for Hafen 2, at the next traffic light intersection (sign: Hafengebiet) continue straight; after approximately 800 m at the next traffic light turn left, towards Brühl/Rohrhof; follow the road for approximately 1 km, then shortly before the roundabout take the entrance on the left; the car parks of the water ski facility and the footpath there are signposted. From the city centre on B36 towards Schwetzingen, exit Rheinau Hafen 2, following signs for Hafen 2, at the next traffic light intersection (sign: Hafengebiet) continue straight, then proceed as described above.
