Mareda - Caffe Macumba is a partially cultivated rocky beach located in Novigrad, Croatia. The beach extends 220 metres in length with an average width of 20 metres and features a moderate coastal slope. Average sea temperature during the season is 24.13°C, with salinity ranging from 32.5 to 39.1. The beach is sheltered by floating safety lines and experiences high bather density during the season.

Location

Novigrad, at Mareda. Accessible by asphalt road. Free parking is available. The beach is managed by Plaža Mareda d.o.o. Opatija and is located in a camp area.

Rescuer service, sanitary facility, shower, changing room, restaurant, café bar, sea buoys, playground, land sports, benches, trash cans.

Season

Monitoring occurs year-round with 10 samples annually. Annual assessments and final assessments (4-year periods) are conducted under both Croatian regulation and EU Directive 2006/7/EZ.

Water Quality

Water quality is classified as excellent. Annual monitoring has been conducted since 2009 with 10 samples per year. Final assessments covering 4-year periods have been completed, with the most recent assessment period 2022–2025.
