Location

Located in Vietri sul Mare, in the Province of Salerno, Campania region. The bathing area is situated on the high rocky coast with coordinates at approximately 40.66365° N, 14.71549° E.

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2021–2022–2023, according to Legislative Decree 30.05.08 no. 116). Urban wastewater is conveyed to a collection tank at Marina Frazione with final discharge to the inter-municipal treatment plant in Salerno.

Risks

Possible pollution sources identified: a surface watercourse outlet on the west side at Marina di Albori (40.66365° N, 14.71549° E); potential reuse of a pre-existing submarine pipeline on the east side in case of emergency pump station failures.
