Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2023). Urban wastewater is collected in a retention tank at Marina Fraction and discharged to the intercommunal treatment plant in Salerno.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified: a surface watercourse outlet on the east side at Marina di Albori; possible reuse of a pre-existing submarine pipeline in Vietri sul Mare territory in case of damage to lifting stations.
