Plage du Métro is a supervised bathing beach in Tarnos, a municipality in the Landes department of Aquitaine. The beach extends over five kilometres and is located 5 km northeast of Bayonne. Two bathing zones are supervised during summer: Plage du Métro and Plage de la Digue. The Adour river is the principal watercourse flowing through Tarnos.

Location

Tarnos, Landes department, Aquitaine region, France. Located 5 km northeast of Bayonne. Accessible via major infrastructure including RN 10 and RN 117 roads.

Facilities

Lifeguards (maîtres nageurs sauveteurs). Disabled access available at Plage de la Digue with two access ramps provided.

Season

Mid-June to mid-September.
