Located in Ribeira de Pêra, this river beach has large green spaces and a wide bathing area. Perpendicular to the riverine zone there is a small waterfall with a stream. The beach is suitable for hiking and pedestrian activities.

Season

June 1 to September 15 (2021 season).

Water Quality

Water quality classification based on 2020 assessment under Decreto-Lei 135/09 (amended by Decreto-Lei 113/2012). Biweekly sampling frequency. No days of bathing prohibition or advice against bathing due to short-term pollution events occurred during 2020 bathing season.

Risks

Short-term pollution events may occur. Potential microbiological pollution sources include sewerage network malfunction and illegal discharges in the watershed. Cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton proliferation are unlikely.
