Natural lake covering 2.1 hectares in the lowlands (below 200 meters elevation). Water is fresh (salinity less than 0.5‰). Water temperature ranges from 12.8 to 25.6 degrees Celsius with mean of 20 degrees. Transparency ranges from 0.5 to 2 meters with mean of 1.2 meters. pH ranges from 8.0 to 8.3 with mean of 8.2.

Schwaneberg in Randowtal municipality, Uckermark district, Brandenburg. Coordinates: 3440982 (Easting), 5908551 (Northing). Beach length is 10 meters.

Water Quality

Classified as excellent for the periods 2017–2020, 2018–2021, 2019–2022, 2020–2023, and 2021–2024. Classified as new for 2016–2019. Escherichia coli measured at 95-percentile of 123–128 per 100 ml and 90-percentile of 4689–6092 per 100 ml during recent monitoring periods. Intestinal Enterococci measured at 95-percentile of 61–64 per 100 ml and 90-percentile of 49–51 per 100 ml.

Risks

Cyanobacteria water blooms observed occasionally during bathing season, though no danger of future mass development is indicated. Macroalgae and aquatic plants are present. No danger of bathing dermatitis from cercariae. No expected short-term microbiological contamination or other pollution.
