Urville-Nacqueville, 10 km northwest of Cherbourg, between the communes of Querqueville to the east and Gréville-Hague to the west.

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored according to Directive 2006/7/CE. Historical classification data is available under the previous Directive 76/160/CEE. Simulations for classification under Directive 2006/7/CE have been conducted. The beach was subject to closure at certain periods.

Risks

Potential pollution sources identified include domestic wastewater from collective and non-collective sanitation systems, stormwater discharge, agricultural activities, artisanal and industrial activities, port and mooring zones, and camping or mobile home areas. Coastal discharge points are monitored.
