The Orb river. The study zone covers a surface area of 148 square kilometres with a reference low-flow linear distance of approximately 12.5 kilometres. Mean low-flow discharge (QMNja) is 4.4 cubic metres per second; summer flood discharge is 14.5 cubic metres per second.

Mons-la-Trivalle commune, at the Tarassac hamlet, approximately 500 metres upstream from the Orb-Jaur confluence on the Orb river.

The profile was established in May 2011 and scheduled for revision by the end of 2014.
