Water

The Orb river. The study zone covering the bathing site has a surface area of 162 km². The linear section corresponding to the reference low-flow discharge is approximately 14.2 km. The Orb widens in the plain downstream of its confluence with the Jaur and presents predominantly lotic facies.

Location

Roquebrun, on the Orb river. The bathing study zone encompasses the Orb basin downstream from Poujol-sur-Orb to the bathing point in Roquebrun and the Jaur from Olargues to its confluence with the Orb.

Water Quality

Water quality classification in 2010 was excellent. The bathing site is classified as Type 1, meaning pollution risk of the bathing water is not established and water quality meets the excellent, good, or sufficient standard under directive 2006/7/CE.
