Lake Öresjö is located five kilometres west of Trollhättan and covers approximately 11 square kilometres with a maximum depth of 31 metres. The lake is part of Uddevalla municipality's drinking water supply and is designated as a water protection area. Since 2015, it has been a protected habitat for noble crayfish. Two bathing areas, Phoenix and Munkeboviken, are situated on the eastern shore, connected by a 400-metre promenade.
