Location

Municipality of Oeiras. The beach is situated in a populated fishing village and is accompanied by the Oeiras promenade.

Season

June 1st to September 30th, 2021.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2020 under Decreto-Lei 135/09. Monitoring frequency is monthly. No days of bathing prohibition or advisory due to short-term pollution occurred in the 2020 bathing season.

Risks

Short-term pollution may occur due to discharge from the Porto Salvo stream or failures in local sewerage networks. The Porto Salvo stream is subject to illegal discharges. Cyanobacteria, macroalgae, and phytoplankton proliferation are considered unlikely.
