The shallow and rapidly warming bay makes it suitable for families with children. The designated swimming area has a maximum water depth of 1.7 meters and is marked with buoys. The beach offers various summer services including food, equipment rental, lockers, sports facilities, lifeguard service, and first aid.

Water

Pärnu Bay (Pärnu laht), coastal seawater of the Baltic Sea. The beach area is 1,800 meters long and 100–120 meters wide. Maximum water depth is 1.7 meters in the designated swimming area. Average water depth is 1.5 meters at 200 meters from the water's edge.

Location

Pärnu city, Pärnumaa county, Estonia. The beach extends from the extension of Side street to a pier. The nearest parking is approximately 60 meters from the sand area and approximately 130 meters from the water's edge.

Facilities

Lifeguard service, first aid, two-person and one-person changing cabins, trash bins, benches, toilets including disabled toilets, showers. Toilets and showers are located 50–120 meters from the water's edge and are open daily 08:00–23:00 during the bathing season. Food services, equipment rental, lockers, ball game courts available. Beach maintenance includes daily sand leveling, daily removal of debris, and continuous cleaning.

Season

1 June to 31 August (official bathing season).

Water Quality

Water quality is monitored during the bathing season (1 June to 31 August). Quality classification follows EU Bathing Water Directive 2006/7/EC standards. Monitoring focuses on enterococci and Escherichia coli bacteria levels.
