Pego Fundo is an inland bathing water located on the Ribeira de Cadavalis river, a tributary of the Guadiana river in Alcoutim municipality. The bathing area features golden sands brought from the coast, with a beach length of 130 metres. The water level remains stable except for natural evaporation. The submerged substrate consists of sand and mud, with a maximum water depth of 3 metres. The predominant wind direction is east to southeast.
