Pennello Ponente Aregai is a newly constructed private beach located between a port zone and surrounding rocky cliffs in Cipressa, Liguria. The beach is situated in a rocky and agricultural area with greenhouses to the east of a tourist port. The water body is classified as excellent quality based on 2008-2011 monitoring data.

Water Quality

Excellent classification (2008-2011). Identified pollution sources include the port, river mouths, and an emergency discharge pipe at Aregai. Specific monitoring measures are not currently activated.

Risks

No cyanobacterial blooms characteristic of the Ligurian Sea due to predominantly oligotrophic conditions. No cases of potentially toxic algal strain proliferation recorded in the past four years.
