Plage du Phare is a bathing beach located on the commune of Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages, near the border with Kerlouan. The beach is characterized by numerous rocks and the Phare headland. A stream discharges near its western end. The beach benefits from natural protection to the east from the Phare point and rocky blocks that provide protection from offshore waves, with moderate currents. It was classified as excellent quality in 2017 under the 2006 directive.

Located on the commune of Plounéour-Brignogan-Plages at the border with Kerlouan. Nearby camping facilities serve the beach.

Water Quality

Classified as excellent quality in 2017 under Directive 2006/7/CE. The bathing waters are monitored regularly for bacterial contamination including Escherichia coli and intestinal enterococci.

Risks

A stream discharges near the western end of the beach. The catchment basin includes agricultural activity covering approximately two-thirds of its surface, which represents a potential pollution source.
