Pietracciaio is a bathing water area located in Pisciotta, in the Salerno province of the Campania region. The beach is characterized by sandy and rocky sections along a high coastline with predominantly natural environments. The area features a mixed rocky and pebbly shoreline.

Coastal waters with a high shoreline characterized by rocky and pebbly substrate. The bathing area includes sections that are both sandy and rocky.

Location

Pisciotta, Salerno province, Campania region. The municipality of Pisciotta is located at Via Nello Infante, 1, CAP 84066.

Water Quality

Water quality classification is Excellent (D.Lgs. 30.05.08 n. 116) for the years 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023. Three wastewater treatment plants serve the area: a biological activated sludge plant at S. Macario with submarine outfall discharge at coordinates LAT. 40.10158 LONG. 15.22264; a biological activated sludge plant in Rodio fraction discharging into Vallone Fiumicello; and a biological activated sludge plant at Caprioli discharging into Santa Caterina stream. A possible pollution source has been identified on the western side from Fiumicello stream.
