Ascea, province of Salerno, Campania region. The municipal office is located at Via XXIV Maggio, 84046 Ascea (Sa).

Water Quality

Water quality classification: Excellent (2020–2023). Monitoring conducted by Regione Campania and ARPAC.

Risks

Possible pollution sources identified: Alento river mouth (west side), Fiumarella torrent (west side), and wastewater treatment plant discharge points. Three biological wastewater treatment plants serve the area, with discharge points at Vallone Nociforo, Scifro canal, and a submarine outfall at Petroso locality.
