Pilica Polska YMCA is a bathing beach located at a campsite on the Pilica River in Kurnędz, Łódź Voivodeship, Poland. The beach has a shoreline of 50 metres and is used for recreational purposes with kayak mooring facilities. The bathing season operates from 24 June to 4 August, with opening hours from 10:00 to 18:00.

Water Quality

Water quality classification for 2024: insufficient quality. Monitoring results show E. coli and enterococci levels. Maximum permissible concentrations: E. coli 1000 jtk(NPL)/100 ml, enterococci 400 jtk(NPL)/100 ml. Identified pollution source: improper disposal of liquid waste upstream in the Pilica River. Authorities conducted inspections of wastewater management in upstream municipalities and found no irregularities.

Risks

Illegal sewage discharges or other events affecting water quality have been identified as potential risks upstream. Red flag status indicates end of bathing facility operations.
