Plage des Marines is a bathing water located in the commune of Cogolin. The beach has been monitored for water quality since 2015 through the marine observatory service of the Golfe de Saint-Tropez intercommunal community. The bathing season runs from June 1 to September 30 each year.

Water Quality

Annual water quality classification is established based on analytical results from the previous four bathing seasons. The beach is classified according to the European Directive 2006/7/CE standards as excellent quality, good quality, sufficient quality, insufficient quality, or bathing prohibited or not recommended.

Risks

Identified pollution sources include domestic wastewater from collective and private sanitation networks, rainwater and watercourses, agricultural activities (viticulture, nurseries, arboriculture, equestrian activities, golf), industrial activities (DCNS torpedo factory, artisanal zone, selective sorting platform), and adjacent maritime zone pollution. Sand plug phenomena present particular risk.
