Playa El Bollullo is a coastal bathing beach located on the island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain. The beach is 410 metres long and 48 metres wide with dark sand substrate. It is exposed to strong wave action and has a depth range of 0 to 13 metres. The beach is situated in the municipality of La Orotava in the Valle de La Orotava coastal water mass.

Located in La Orotava municipality on the island of Tenerife in the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain. The nearest locality is El Rincón. Pedestrian access is regular and vehicular access is available with regular parking facilities.

Water Quality

Water quality classification based on four-year evaluation of faecal indicator microorganisms (Escherichia coli and intestinal Enterococci) according to Royal Decree 1341/2007. The water body ES70TFTIV – Punta del Roquete – Bajas del Puertito is in good ecological status with overall good or better state. No risk identified from jellyfish, sea urchins, phytoplankton, or macroalgae.

Risks

Short-duration contamination risk from stormwater discharge caused by heavy rainfall generating runoff that may carry contaminants from upstream areas. Frequency: sporadic with duration less than 72 hours. Potential discharge sources: Barranco de La Arena and Barranco San Diego watercourses.
