Cala Blava is a natural bathing beach located on Mallorca in the Balearic Islands. The beach measures 45 meters in length and 25 meters in width with fine sand and a gentle slope. It experiences low visitor numbers and is used daily by local residents for recreational purposes. The water is calm with no currents, whirlpools, or undertow.

Location

Located in the municipality of Llucmajor on the island of Mallorca, Balearic Islands. Pedestrian access is good. Vehicle access is poor. Parking is available but limited in quality.

Pedestrian access available. Disabled access not available. No promenade.

Water Quality

Annual water quality classification: Excellent (2019–2022). Historical classifications: Deficient (2007–2009 and 2018–2019), Moderate (2022–2023). Identified pollution sources include septic tanks and boats. Rainwater runoff also contributes to contamination. Residue accumulation is very low. Water mass code: MAMC15M3.

Risks

Occasional jellyfish presence. No history of phytoplankton or cyanobacteria proliferation.
