Cruz del Mar - Las Canteras is a bathing beach in Chipiona, Cádiz, located in Andalucía, Spain. It stretches for 1,180 meters with an average width of 30 meters and features golden sand composition mixed with rocky areas. The beach offers calm bathing conditions and is moderately exposed to Atlantic waves, primarily from the west. It is highly occupied and located in an urbanized area with a seafront promenade.

Water

Atlantic coastal water body influenced by river contributions from the Guadalquivir estuary. Shallow waters with sandy substrate. Tidal range is mesomareal (2–4 meters). Current flows dominantly toward the south, south-southeast, and southeast. Wave regime is dominated by westerly and secondarily southeasterly winds.

Location

Chipiona, Cádiz, Andalucía, Spain. Access is on foot. The beach has a seafront promenade and accessible walkways. Parking and specific directions are not detailed.

Low risk from short-term microbiological contamination related to diffuse pollution sources (land use, built and altered surfaces) and a clean stormwater overflow. Low risk of jellyfish, phytoplankton, and macroalgae proliferation.
